Gosforth Sports Association, Broadway West Playing Fields, Gosforth

​

Newcastle Round Table's fireworks fundraiser describes itself as Gosforth's original

and best fireworks display and has been going for more than 40 years.

​

This year it returns to the Broadway West Playing Fields on Saturday November 5.

 

The show starts at 7pm, with gates opening at 5pm.

 

The organisers advise arriving no later than 6.45pm.

​

Buying tickets in advance is essential, so far more than 2,000 have been sold.

​

Refreshments will be on sale. There will be rides and attractions for kids too.

​

All profits go to charities and good causes from the area.

​

No on-site parking will be provided, the organisers suggest using the Metro. Wansbeck Road and Regent Centre stations are nearby.

​

Tickets are priced from £4 for children and £6 for adults with discounts for group bookings and are available from Ticket Source.

​

 

Novos Rugby Club, Sutherland Park, Benton

 

The club's annual fireworks display will support The Chronicle Sunshine Fund charity, which assists children with disabilities.

 

Entry is £3 for under 16s and £5 for adults payable by cash only on the doors. Novocastrians RFC asks visitors to use cash at the bar too if possible.

 

There is limited parking available at the rugby club for £20 per car.

 

Longbenton and Four Lane Ends Metro stations are close to the venue.

 

The display starts at 7pm.


 

Saltwell Park, Gateshead

​

Gateshead's biggest fireworks display is back at Saltwell Park for 2022. The event, which peaks with a 30-minute fireworks display, raises money for Metro Radio's Cash for Kids charity.

​

Gates open at 5pm. The fireworks are set to begin at 7.30pm and a fairground will be open until 9pm. Food and drinks stalls will be open on-site.

​

The event will also host a laser show, fire eaters, music from Metro Radio DJs, fairground rides and street entertainers.

​

No event parking will be provided other than limited provision for disabled visitors.

Tickets are priced at £7.25 and available from Cash for Kids.


 

Blaydon Rugby Club, Gateshead Sold Out!

​

According to the ticketing page, Blaydon Rugby Club's fireworks display is sold out. The club says there are no tickets available on the door.

​

Check with the Eventbrite website in case tickets go back on sale.

 

Blue Flames Sporting Club, Whitley Park, Whitley Road, Benton

​

Blue Flames' fireworks display starts at 7pm. There will be fairground rides and food vendors.

 

Three bars will open too.

​

The gates open at 4.30pm and the event will finish at 9pm.

​

Tickets cost £7.50 for adults and £5.50 for children. They can be bought from Eventbrite. No tickets will be available on the door.

​

Blue Flames says third-party vendors may require cash but its own bar will be operating contactless payment as much as possible.

​

Blue Flames is close to Benton Metro Station

Segedunum Roman Fort, Wallsend

​

Entry is free to the fireworks display at Segedunum Roman Fort in Wallsend. The display starts at 6.30pm and entry to the museum will be free from 4pm.

​

Donations are welcome on the day.

​

Wallsend Metro Station is close to the fort.

​

 

Rutherford Football Club, Lobley Hill, Gateshead

​

There is a Disney and Marvel fancy dress theme for visitors to Rutherford Football Club's fireworks display on Saturday November 5.

​

The club opens at 6pm. There will be a bonfire, fireworks display and a disco with face painting available.

The fireworks display opens at 8pm.

​

Tickets cost £7 for children (5-16) and £9 for adults. Under fives go free and there are group tickets available too,.

South Shields Seafront

​

The popular fireworks display at South Shields seafront returns! Enjoy two fantastic displays - the early display at 6.30pm and the main display at 8pm.

 

The fireworks will be set from the area behind the skatepark on Sea Road, but there are many vantage points across the seafront where you can enjoy the fireworks from a distance. 

​

Heading to the event? Why not combine a visit with a meal in one of the lovely restaurants on Ocean Road or surrounding areas, or enjoy the fun of the rides and attractions of Ocean Beach Pleasure Park (open from 12noon - 9pm)

The Sunday evening fireworks display at Gateshead Rugby Club starts at 6.30pm. Doors open at 4.30pm.

North Tyneside's annual fireworks display attracts thousands of people to see a spectacular show overlooking the North Sea off Whitley Bay.

​

There are fairground rides and refreshments from 6pm and the display starts at 7pm, lasting for around 20 minutes.

​

Traffic in the area will be busy but many people choose to use the Metro.

In the event of bad weather, the event will take place the following night.
